In 2023, Bengalla proudly took ownership of a Liebherr R 9800 Excavator EX012.
Following a four month build in France, the R 9800 made an eight-week journey by ship to Port Kembla, south of Wollongong.
On arrival, the R 9800 was unloaded and, over four days, transported through Sydney to Bengalla’s onsite build pad.
It took Liebherr and Bengalla approximately 10 weeks to piece together the R 9800, with various sub-contractors and third-party contractors all working together to ensure a safe and efficient build.
