With the ramp at occurring at New Acland, Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) is now stockpiling coal for Cambey Downs and New Acland.
With the increase in activity QBH are also looking to spend money on capital projects to support the increased capacity.
At full capacity, more than a dozen, 42 wagon coal trains will arrive at QBH every single day to be stockpiled, then shipped to China, Japan, Chile, the United States and India.
