Let's Get Our Region Back To Work!

Thank you again for your support and dedication to our project, without our passionate network of suppliers, contractors and customers we would not be in a position to even contemplate expansion. As you know, our pleas to the State Government have gone unanswered and we again ask your indulgence to please help us convince them to finally approve Stage 3.

Below you'll find our email template. While we have pre-filled the copy within, we greatly encourage you to add your own personal experiences and connection to New Acland. We've made it editable so that you can amend where you see fit, as well as providing a link to download a pre-written word document that you can use should you wish to post or hand deliver your letter directly to your Local Member.

If possible, please elaborate on a few key points such as:
• How long have you worked with us?
• How many people do you employ?
• How will your business be affected if Stage 3 is not approved and New Acland ceases operations?

We want to make it perfectly clear that far more than just our direct employees rely on the ongoing operations of New Acland. There are hundreds of suppliers, contractors and customers all around the state that rely on this project and any further delays will only increase the level of uncertainty we all face.

Thank you for all your efforts so far, and we look forward to working with you for many more years to come.

500PEOPLE HAVE SENT A LETTER

Dear ,

I am writing to you today to express my disappointment at the State Government's continual delay regarding approvals for Stage 3 of New Acland mine.

As a local business who has worked closely with New Hope for a number of years, our ongoing operations rely on this project being granted approval.

Without this, we will not be able to provide certainty to our employees and will likely face a difficult financial situation in the near future.

I implore you to please consult with your colleagues and make it known how vital this project is not just for our region, but for hundreds of businesses just like mine right across the state.

We simply cannot sustain much more delay.

I'm hoping you can provide me with an update regarding this project and when it is likely to be approved by the Premier or Minister for Mines, Dr Anthony Lynham.

Thank you for your time, and I hope to hear from you soon.

Yours faithfully,
