Recently one of Bengalla's large excavators, a Hitachi EX009, went in for a shutdown. This required having major components changed out including its engine, transmissions and motors, gearbox and pumps. This shutdown took 2 weeks to complete. Each shift, a crew of 6 Bengalla team, worked on the excavator, with some external help from specialist contractors. Compared to the single mechanic it would take to change the gearbox in your ute - you can see how big of a job this was! Bengalla is proud to be able to complete this shutdown in house using our own planners, supervisors and tradesmen with the aid of some specialist contract skills.
