As a responsible operator, we support and promote broad economic and social benefits for our communities and will continue to create a positive social impact based on long-term, meaningful, and mutually beneficial relationships.
We work collaboratively to ensure local community members have access to clear information about our operations, grievance mechanisms, and other remediation processes to help address any actual or potential negative impacts from our activities.
New Acland Mine’s Community Reference Group (CRG) was established in 2012 and provides a forum for ongoing engagement between the mine and local community groups and stakeholders.
The CRG allows for a cross-section of community concerns, interests and opportunities to be raised and considered in a balanced, respectful way. The CRG consists of 12 community leaders, representing stakeholder interests in: agriculture, education, environment, community services, health, local and First Nations business.
Our Community Investment Fund (CIF) aims to support sustainable community initiatives in the local area surrounding New Acland Mine, with grants of between $5,000 and $15,000.
The CIF underpins our ongoing commitment to community investment and development, and provides an opportunity to give back to the communities in which we live and work.
CIF applications are open during March and September of each year.

We have a long and proud history of supporting the local community through a range of projects and partnerships. Our Community Sponsorship Program actively supports the advancement of education, health and welfare, cultural and sporting initiatives throughout the Darling Downs.
